We started out from the McDonald’s on Kingston Pike and made our way to Highway 70 at Dixie Lee Junction.  Everyone was sure that we would get wet but we made it to Highway 101 in Crossville without a single drop.

The next stop was Fall Creek Falls State Park where we took a quick look at Cane Creek falls and cascades.  Believe it or not we didn’t get wet on this leg of the trip either.

The group headed over to the park restaurant and we enjoyed an “all-you-can-eat” buffet.  We had just finished dessert (actually 2 or 3) when up walked Ned Goodman and his new bride Sue!  We sat with them while they had lunch and enjoyed a great conversation. Hopefully we’ll see more of Sue and Ned in the near future.

Our luck finally ran out, a very light rain had started to fall.  We donned some rain gear and headed to see Fall Creek Falls .  As we pulled into the parking lot the sun popped out and off came the rain gear.  Just enough rain to trash the bikes but at least that was the last of the rain we would see on the trip.  The falls were spectacular but we knew we needed to start heading back toward Knoxville .

The group today was small with 3 bikes and 5 people including P.D. Randolph, Jim and Lynda Hickey, Debbie and Bobby Smith.  Missy we missed you and hope you feel better.
